New Art!

Saturday Rich and I made a trip to good ol' Provo to check out a last day sale at our favorite boutique, Mode. They had all their leftover inventory, down the art, shelves and hooks on the walls, on sale. We quickly scanned through the clothes, I picked out some fun jewels and then our attention was directly focused on the art. The girl who works at the store did this first painting, and the one below was done by a guy who runs the store. They are both very creative and it was fun to be able to take home their art. We went in the store empty handed, and left with a painting hanging out of the trunk of my car, and more fun treasures in my backseat. We got our picture hung last night before our new bishopric welcomed us into the ward, and it looks so great on our once bare, white walls. That's the great thing about using art in an apartment; you can't paint the walls, so you put the paintings up. Over the time we have dated and been married, we have collected some really fun local art, and love that we are supporting these local talents. The biggest painting is pretty simple, but it's the simplicity and size of the painting that really makes it so great. Sorry to see our favorite boutique close, but glad we got some cool stuff out of it.
